School Workshops

What Is It?

Over the past 7 years, we’ve delivered school workshops to over 40,000 young people in every county of Ireland.

We currently offer two workshops. The first is focused on using kindness to create positive communities, and the second works on confidence, building a strong mindset by thinking about our values, how we handle stress, and how we can use our voices.

Our core workshops have been delivered in schools all over Ireland since October 2016, are suitable for 1st to 6th year and are amended to suit the needs of your school.

Our Kindness and Goal-Setting Workshop

During this session, our facilitators will create a safe and encouraging environment for students to consider the culture that exists in their school, think about how they treat themselves and each other, and build a culture of trust and support.

This workshop session has worked well with groups who struggle to connect with one another, and could benefit from having a better sense of collaboration and community.

Topics covered in our Kindness and Goal-setting workshop include:

  • The challenges we face as young women in Ireland today

  • How we approach and address these challenges

  • The people who influence us and shape us as people

  • How we treat ourselves and each other

  • Respecting and encouraging differences and diversity

  • Setting goals and identifying how we can achieve them

  • Our place in the world and how we would like to be remembered

Our Confidence and Mindset Workshop

During this session, our facilitators will create a safe and encouraging environment for students to learn, engage and leave with a better sense of what their place is in the world.

This workshop session has worked well with groups who struggle with self-confidence, their self-worth and could benefit from support on how to switch to having a positive mindset and an increased sense of autonomy.

Through this workshop, students should leave feeling more capable of handling stress, anxiety and societal pressures.

Topics covered in our Confidence and Mindset workshop include:

  • How to develop a positive mindset

  • How to build confidence and use our voices

  • Understanding anxiety and building our anxiety/ stress toolkit.

Some extracts from reflections made by some of our students:

"My apology is for not being there for a friend when she was going through a lot. I'm not speaking to her right now, but I do wish her well and hope she gets the help she needs..."

"I'm sorry for all my harsh words. We were best friends and then we were enemies. I've called you so many horrible names not knowing the consequences. I was hurting inside, so I took it out on you. I'm Sorry."
