Femfest is always a really great day for the young women of Ireland. Organised by the Women’s Council of Ireland, this event brings females aged 16-25 together to hear from a panel of leading lady legends on topics such as leadership, equality, creating change and planning for your future.

Not only that, but this event is FREE!

Speakers this year include:

  • Sinead McSweeney, MD of Twitter in Ireland
  • Dil Wickremasinghe, Social Justice and Mental Health Podcaster
  • Louise McSharry, presenter at RTÉ 2fm
  • Sinead Aherne, Captain of the Dublin Ladies Football Team
  • Demilade Adeniran, No Hate Speech Campaigner
  • Síona Cahill, Union of Students in Ireland
  • Anna Cosgrave, Repeal Project
  • Vanessa Lacey, Transgender Equality Network Ireland

Femfest allows young women to discuss the issues which directly affect them, to learn from the amazing speakers, and from each other. Its also a really good way of getting involved with some of the groups of young women who are actively involved in creating the Ireland they want to grow up in.
